Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pinkod IT Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Warranly ("the App") on your iOS device.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Warranly is designed with a privacy-first, offline-first approach — your warranty data, documents, and photos live on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any backend servers and we do not create user accounts.

Data We Collect
Warranly collects minimal data. Here is an honest breakdown:
- Product & Warranty Data: Product names, brands, models, serial numbers, categories, purchase details, warranty dates, and notes you enter. This data is stored locally on your device in an ObjectBox database and optionally backed up to your private iCloud account.
- Photos & Documents: Receipt photos, warranty documents, and scanned PDFs you attach to your products. These files are stored locally on your device and optionally backed up to your private iCloud account. Images are compressed on-device (max 2 MB, 85% JPEG quality).
- App Settings: Your display name (for greeting only — never transmitted), language preference, theme choice, default currency, and feature toggles. Stored locally and optionally synced to your iCloud key-value store.
- Purchase / Entitlement Information: Apple App Store purchase receipts and your premium entitlement status (whether you have unlocked Warranly Pro), processed by RevenueCat using an anonymous device identifier. Warranly Pro is a one-time purchase ("Lifetime") — there is no subscription. We do not store your payment details.
- Notification Schedules: Warranty expiry reminder schedules you configure. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device using iOS Local Notifications — no push notification server is involved.
Device Permissions
Warranly may request the following device permissions. Each is optional and requested only when you initiate the relevant action:
- Camera: To photograph receipts, warranty cards, and use the built-in document scanner. Requested only when you tap the camera button.
- Photo Library: To import existing product images and documents from your gallery. Requested only when you choose to select a photo.
- Face ID / Touch ID: To protect your app data with biometric authentication. Requested only when you enable biometric lock in Settings. Your biometric data is handled entirely by the iOS Secure Enclave — the app receives only a yes/no authentication result and never accesses, stores, or transmits any biometric data.
- Local Notifications: To send warranty expiry reminders at intervals you choose. Requested only when you set up your first reminder.
Permissions we do not request: Location, Contacts, Microphone, Bluetooth, Tracking (ATT), Health data, Background App Refresh.
iCloud Backup & Sync
Warranly offers optional iCloud backup and settings synchronisation as a Pro feature to keep your warranty data safe and consistent across your Apple devices.
- iCloud Drive Backup: A ZIP archive containing your product data and all attached files is stored within your personal iCloud account — not on our servers. You can find and manage it in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Warranly.
- Settings Sync: App preferences (language, theme, currency, biometric toggle) are synced across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud key-value sync.
- iCloud sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's Settings screen.
- Disabling iCloud sync does not delete your local data.
- The developer (Pinkod) has no access to your iCloud data.
In-App Purchases & RevenueCat
In-app purchases are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat, a third-party service. Warranly Pro is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription or recurring billing.
- RevenueCat receives an anonymous, auto-generated device identifier and Apple App Store purchase receipt data. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
- RevenueCat does not receive your advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not use the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and we do not collect IDFA.
- RevenueCat does not receive any of your product data, photos, documents, or display name.
- We do not have access to your payment card details at any point — all payment processing is performed by Apple.
- RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Notifications
Warranly uses local notifications (not push notifications) to deliver warranty expiry reminders you schedule within the app.
- All notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS.
- No push notification server or token is involved.
- You will be asked for permission before any notifications are sent.
- You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Analytics & Tracking
Warranly does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services.
- No Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any analytics SDK.
- No Sentry, Crashlytics, or any crash reporting SDK.
- No advertising networks or ad SDKs.
- No IDFA collection or cross-app tracking.
- No social media SDKs.
If you have enabled crash reporting via iOS Settings, Apple may collect anonymised crash reports. This is managed entirely by Apple, not by us.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share limited data only with:
The developer (Pinkod) does not receive, store, or have access to any of your personal data or app content.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information:
- On-device protection: Your data is stored in an ObjectBox database and file system protected by iOS's built-in data protection (AES-256 encryption at rest when the device is locked).
- Biometric lock: Optional Face ID / Touch ID authentication adds an additional layer of protection. Biometric verification is handled entirely by the iOS Secure Enclave.
- iCloud transit encryption: All data synced via iCloud is encrypted in transit using TLS and stored encrypted at rest in Apple's infrastructure.
- Purchase data: RevenueCat transmits Apple App Store purchase receipts over HTTPS. We never receive or store your payment card details.
- No custom encryption: The app does not implement custom encryption algorithms (
ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryptionis set tofalse).
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
- Delete a single product: Swipe to delete within the app. The product, all its attached files, and associated notification schedules are permanently removed.
- Delete all local data: Delete the app from your device. All local data is permanently erased by iOS.
- Delete iCloud data: iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Warranly → Delete.
- Delete purchase data: Because RevenueCat records are stored against an anonymous device identifier with no link to your name or email, we cannot identify a specific record from your email address alone. To request deletion, contact us at [email protected] and provide one or more of the following so we can locate the correct record:
- The email address linked to your Apple ID, or
- Your Apple App Store purchase confirmation email or transaction ID (visible in your Apple ID purchase history), or
- The approximate date and time of your Warranly Pro purchase.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary:
Children's Privacy
Warranly is rated 4+ and does not target children specifically. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. No account creation or personal data submission is required to use the app.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through our contact channels, please contact us at [email protected] and we will address it promptly.
